Holiday Messages-on-Hold and Seasonal Audio for Year ‘Round Play!
Looking for some nice alternatives to give your callers while they’re on-hold… something that’s seasonal, timely, fresh, and entertaining? IAP has just the ticket, something fun you can use to liven up your on-hold audio any time of year. We have prepared a number of select messages on topical times of year…16 of them, to be exact. They offer a little different twist on subjects ranging from Mother’s Day to Veteran’s Day to Yom Kippur. And the beautiful thing is that these messages give you enough options that you can use them for production updates throughout the calendar year, giving frequent callers especially something new and fresh to hear.
Of course, the Christmas Holiday season is the most common and popular time of year when messages-on-hold customers gear their audio to reflect the season. For some, it’s merely the right time of year to express peace, thanks, and good will to their patrons while holding. For others, it’s the most critical sales period of the year and the messages-on-hold with “Deck the Halls” background music (for example) are an extension of that familiar approach we have grown so accustomed to between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day.
We thought it would be a good idea to offer a similarly special feel to your Messages-on-Hold BEYOND the Christmas Season. We did a little poking around and found a few fun, interesting subjects that can enhance your audio productions year ‘round. It’s an excellent way to keep your callers tuned in, whether tied to a sale or just used simply as entertaining trivia.
If you are already an IAP client but don’t change your productions very often, these options open new ways to use your Message On Hold more creatively. For those who have a lot of frequent callers, remember that those callers can tend to tune out if they continually hear the same “loop” every day, week, or month. Changing the audio to incorporate current material using these timely messages lets those frequent callers know that something’s new and re-captures their ear and interest in all areas of your Messages-on-Hold audio.
Retailers and restaurants often rely on the time of year to base their promotions. Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Halloween are all big selling times and these messages give you a great way to cross-promote your own products and events. And if you think your regular production schedule prohibits the use of such timely topics, think again! IAP can deliver a quality Messages On Hold production for short-term use with the option to resume your standard on-hold audio once the holiday ‘du jour’ has passed!
Of course, not every on-hold message has to sell something. Callers appreciate a break sometimes, especially if your hold time is a minute or longer. That’s where informational greetings and trivia can be used to engage callers, pique their interest, and make other messages in the loop all the more effective.
Put yourself in the caller’s place – practically everyone loves to be challenged by trivia. For example, did you know that Labor Day was first a state holiday in Oregon, dating back to 1887? Or that the origin of Halloween traces back to Pope Gregory the 3rd in the 8th Century? Were you aware that the first New Year’s Rose Parade took place in 1886? If you want to give callers a little tease, they might just ask to be placed back on-hold to hear more. Believe it not, this happens!
If you would like to see the full selection of Holiday-related messages, please ask your IAP representative. To give you an idea of what the 16 messages cover, here’s what you can expect to see: Easter, Passover, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Yom Kippur/Rosh Hashanah, Halloween, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentine’s Day, and St. Patrick’s Day. As always, IAP is glad to help you with MOH script development for a superior audio production. Customizing is easily done, too.
